Alaine Owens

Client Care Coordinator

Since joining the workforce I have worked extensively in customer service and animal care, both areas where fostering a strong connection and community focus was the number one priority. I love contributing to an environment where all people are welcomed and provided with an exceptional experience. Everyone deserves care and attention, and I strive to provide the best help I can in any interaction.

My personal experiences with inadequate mental health support as a child, coupled with my family's struggles with addiction and mental health, fuel my drive to ensure compassionate and effective care for youth that is often lacking. With a background that spans business management, hospitality service, and animal rescue/care, I hope to bring a unique perspective to my role at Insight Northwest Recovery. As a Client Care Coordinator, empathy and personal experience enhance my ability to support and help guide others through their own challenges.

My personal journey and professional dedication intersect in this role, where my empathy and resilience help me to connect with and support our community. I am dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for everyone, ensuring that each person feels valued and supported throughout our interactions. Having struggled to find adequate mental health care in the past for myself and family members, I strive to be a strong support and helping hand to others seeking care. I am grateful to be a part of an organization that showcases their dedication and empathy from the ground up.

Outside of my professional life, I treasure my time in nature. Born and raised here, I find peace in the solitude of the woods, enjoy backcountry camping, mushroom foraging, and exploring Oregon's diverse landscapes. I have spent many years volunteering my time in dog rescue, focusing on community building and fundraising. I have a sweet but cranky old dog and a cuddly orange kitty who demand all of my attention when I am at home.

Professional Background

I have spent many years working in the service industry, learning patience, flexibility, and understanding. This experience culminated in managing a local restaurant over the last year, exposing me to a wealth of challenges and growth. Additionally, I spent five years as a Receptionist and Assistant Manager at a veterinary clinic where I supported pet owners in times of need and learned great respect for health care of all kinds. For almost a decade I volunteered as the Board President for a local dog rescue, engaging and educating the community about safe and sustainable pet care. Through the rescue I volunteered with local programs supporting those in active recovery and helped facilitate the healing love that dogs can provide. While I am just beginning my career in the mental health field, my previous experience has given me the tools to provide compassionate care and assistance.
