INTENSIVE Day treatment
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
At Insight Northwest Recovery, our goal is to help empower you on your journey to recovery.
We have a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals who will work with you on a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. We work with ages 12+ in our outpatient treatment programs.
The first step in our levels of care is Intensive Day Treatment, also known as PHP or Partial Hospitalization Program. This program provides a combination of psychiatric treatment with education and alternative activities for all learning styles – with the goal of treating mental health issues, substance use disorders, personality disorders, or bipolar disorders.
Our partial hospitalization program has a variety of benefits, including flexibility around work, school, and family schedules, and the ability to recover in a clean, safe, welcoming and structured environment. Additionally, our programs also seek to support and empower family and friends to be a part of your recovery process, and strengthen your support network outside of our doors.

Is PHP Right for You?
We wholeheartedly believe in your power to rediscover yourself as you recover from mental health challenges. Struggling with your mental health or addiction can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating—but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other emotional struggles, we’re here to help you find relief and regain a sense of balance.
Our outpatient services begin with Intensive Day Treatment, also known as PHP or Partial Hospitalization Programs. During this step in the process, our clients participate in a daily structured program that combines individual therapy, group therapy and education, and activity-based therapies.
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is ideal for those who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy but don’t require 24/7 inpatient care. If your mental health symptoms—such as severe anxiety, depression, or emotional distress—are making it hard to function in daily life, maintain relationships, or keep up with responsibilities, PHP offers structured, intensive treatment in a supportive environment.
This level of care is especially helpful if you're experiencing frequent emotional crises, struggling to manage symptoms on your own, or need extra support after a hospital stay. By attending treatment five hours a day, five days a week for four weeks, you’ll gain the tools, therapy, and guidance needed to stabilize and build a strong foundation for long-term mental wellness.

At Insight Northwest Recovery, we emphasize the importance of recovery through community mental health care and wellness, and all of our outpatient programs provide group therapy both in-person or online. We want you to not only have a team of medical staff in your corner, but to build a community of other people on the same journey to recovery. Our partial hospitalization program consists of individual and group therapy sessions, activity-based education, peer support and family support. Individual behavioral therapy is meant to help you process your emotions that come up during the recovery process and develop healthy coping skills. Group counseling provides you with an opportunity to share your experience with others and learn from other people as you form friendships in recovery.
Additionally, we utilize the R1 Learning System — an evidence-based and best practice theories framework for mental health, substance use, and developing lifestyle changes. In addition to in-person group and individual therapy, you would have access to the R1 Learning System’s app, which provides a hands-on approach that allows our mental health professionals to work with you and apply the theories discussed in therapy and laid out in the program in real-life circumstances. The app includes a video library of educational content, interactive activities, and a coaching dashboard designed for group AND one-on-one settings.

The R1 Learning System is designed to meet you where you are in your background, education, experiences, and learning style. Each module you will work through during our outpatient program is meant to engage, educate, and empower you to process the lesson and what you’ve learned in your daily functioning life. This process of applying each lesson to your own experience is meant to motivate you toward the change you are seeking to reach your full potential.
Insight Northwest Recovery’s team believes that it is crucial to use the most up-to-date technology and provide these resources to every patient to make recovery as accessible as possible. The mental health care industry requires innovation, and by utilizing these modular tools we can reach more clients, in more languages, and measure your real-time personal performance and improvement.
