CADC III-R, QMHP, MFT Associate

I AM COMMITTED TO CREATING A SPACE THAT FEELS CALM, SAFE AND GENUINELY WELCOMING - A SPACE WHERE YOU CAN CONNECT MORE DEEPLY WITH YOURSELF. I SEE THERAPY AS A PROCESS OF DISCOVERY, AND TO ME IT’S A PRIVILEGE TO WITNESS PEOPLE STEPPING INTO THEIR OWN AUTHENTICITY.

I believe we all have an inner compass, a version of ourselves that knows how to operate from our values and lead us towards the life we desire, but life throws us curve balls. Along the way, we often develop survival strategies that may have helped us then, but aren’t serving us anymore. These old patterns, thoughts, or beliefs can quietly shape how we show up in the world — in our relationships, our choices, and how we see ourselves. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore what’s working, what’s not, and what might need to shift. Through this collaborative process, we work together to reconnect you to your power, your voice, and your ability to live in alignment with the life you want. I don’t believe in “fixing” people — I believe in reminding them of who they really are beneath all the noise.

I have known being a therapist was the right path for me since I was in high school, and have worked on becoming the kind of person that can fully and authentically show up in this role since. I am no stranger to life's difficulties and it is so important for me to build a life I am excited and grateful to live so that when things are challenging, I have the resilience to embrace each trail as an opportunity to grow.

My approach to counseling is flexible and centered around you. I often draw from emotion-focused approaches but pay close attention to practical realities and patterns showing up in your day-to-day life . Everybody processes the world differently, so part of my role is to understand how you see the world and how to best support youI look at things through a systemic lens, meaning I seek to understand how various aspects of your life and unique identity impact your current experience. It is important to me to help promote balance and I ground my approach in providing compassionate support while helping you work towards the changes you seek.

I am neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ affirming, as well as supportive of traditional and non-traditional relationship structures.

I used to be involved in the local music scene for many years and played in bands as well as ran live sound for various venues and events, including Oregon Country Fair. While I still enjoy jamming with friends on various instruments, I have found a greater passion for being outside and enjoy hiking with my dog, skiing, scuba diving, rock climbing, and am usually up for trying anything that gets me moving outdoors. I also play volleyball and volunteer for Lane County Search and Rescue. Most of all I love connecting with my friends through potlucks, art and craft nights, and TTRPG or board games.

Professional Background

I have always been passionate about working in the helping professions and learning how I can better show up for others. As an undergrad, I was involved in advocacy groups including the Sexual Wellness Advocacy Team and LGBTQA, and presented at Tedx about reducing stigma associated with mental illness. I worked with kids and adults with developmental disabilities while working on my BS in Psychology, and worked in developmental neuroscience labs focused on early childhood attachment. After graduating, I worked for ShelterCare by day and as an audio engineer for small venues by night, enjoying both ways of connecting and giving back to the Eugene community until deciding to focus more exclusively on counseling. Before attending graduate school, I worked as a substance abuse counselor at Chrysalis through WhiteBird. While working towards my Master’s Degree in Couples and Family therapy, I worked at The Child Center and PeaceHealth in youth bereavement where I had been a long-time volunteer, and co-authored a public health publication at the Prevention Science Institute. Although I have a strong background in behavioral health academic research, my true passion lies in the work I do as a counselor, showing up, connecting, and walking alongside others in their healing journeys.
