MSW, CSWA

My hope is to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where youth and their families can grow, practice skills, and learn about themselves and their individual path to prosperity.

I approach therapy from a systems theory and holistic person centered point of view. I believe that therapy and the ability to learn how to improve our lives and wellbeing should be accessible for everyone at every stage of our lives. I enjoy meeting clients where they are and creating a partnership that supports recovery and client directed success. Healing happens when strong relationships are formed and mutual support is created across settings and systems.

My journey through life has led me to seek out ways I can connect with others, support my community, and make a difference where it counts. I enjoy supporting and working with youth as they are the future of our world and their time on this earth has just begun. There is so much to learn, do, and conquer! Working with youth and their families affords me the opportunity to create meaningful change, celebrate strengths, and make for a better tomorrow.

My style of therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I enjoy using theoretical frameworks like Developmental Theory, Systems Theory, and Attachment Theory to inform my practice and my understanding of my clients and their dynamic individual systems. I am passionate about assisting youth in finding their path, their truth, and their own successes as defined by them.

Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy hiking and adventuring in the great outdoors with my family and my dogs. You can find me trying out different recipes in my kitchen, watching movies on the couch or curling up with a good book. My heart lives for music and I can’t help but dance to any good beat.

Professional Background

I started my social services career working with adults with developmental disabilities. From there, I engaged in working at a local non-profit for the past 6 years engaging in various roles working with youth such as direct service staff, management and leadership, training coordination, and providing therapy in a school setting. Along my journey, I’ve found that my passion is working with youth.
