Patient Attendance Expectations

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Participants,

We hope this message finds you well. As we continue to strive for excellence in providing quality care and support through our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), we would like to remind everyone of our attendance expectations to ensure the best outcomes for all participants.

Attendance Expectations

  1. Minimum Attendance Requirement

    • Participants are expected to miss no more than 6 sessions over the course of treatment. This includes groups, individual and family therapy sessions, and medication/psychiatric appointments.

    • This allows for a maximum of 6 missed sessions out of the 12-week IOP group cycle.

    • Regular attendance is crucial for effective treatment and progress.

  2. Parent Support Group, For Parents with Children Under 18

    • Parents and guardians are required to attend a minimum of 6 parenting group sessions over the 12 week period of their child’s engagement in intensive outpatient treatment.

  3. Excused Absences

    • To have an absence excused, INR must be informed no later than 48 hours prior to the requested absence.

    • Please notify us as early as possible to facilitate the approval process.

    • Excused absences will not count against the 6 session max attendance requirement.

  4. Consequences of Excessive Absences

    • If a participant misses more than 6 scheduled appointments without approved excused absences, they will be discharged from the program.

    • Participants who are discharged for attendance reasons must wait 21 days before they can re-engage in care and restart at the beginning of the treatment process.

    • For those with private insurance (not Medicaid), any appointment missed without prior notice and approval from INR will result in a charge of $275 on the card on file.

This policy helps ensure that all participants can fully benefit from the program and make the necessary progress in their treatment journey. We understand that unexpected situations may arise, and we are here to support you. Please communicate with us promptly regarding any attendance issues to avoid disruptions in your treatment plan.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to your treatment. We look forward to continuing to work together towards your well-being and success.

Warm regards,

Sincerely,
